Residential Service – Schedule RS

Commercial Service – Sschedule GSA

Current as of October 2018 and in accordance with Ordinance 2013-21, approved by the Board of Alderman on December 17, 2013.

For customers on a water system which is either (1) not metered or (2) metered but which meter readings are not accessible to the city, a flat rate of $24.30 per month shall be charged for water. The city may install meters and charge these customers metered rates when feasible.

*There is an additional surcharge for those water system customers lying outside the City limits but within certain areas formerly certificated by Bell Utility. Water customers with usage metered at under 3,000 gallons shall be charged a $4.00 monthly fee. Water customers with a usage metered at 3,000 gallons and above shall be charged a $6.00 monthly fee.

For customers on a sewer system which is either (1) not metered or (2) metered but which meter readings are not accessible to the city, a flat rate of $27.35 per month shall be charged for sewer. The city may install meters and charge these customers metered rates when feasible.

*There is an additional surcharge for those sewer system customers lying outside the City limits but within certain areas formerly certificated by Bell Utility in the amount of $6.00 per month per sewer utility bill.

Residential

Residential utility accounts shall have set deposit amounts for the following utilities provided: Sanitation, Water, Sewer and *Electric. For accounts with more than one utility service provided, the amounts below shall be added for each applicable utility. Prior to mailing a deposit check, please contact our office to determine which utilities are available at your location and the total deposit amount required. In addition to a utility deposit, a $15 service fee is required to establish/transfer utility service.

Commercial / Industrial

Commercial electric and water deposit amounts shall be twice the average estimated monthly bill for the location requesting service (Example: average monthly bill x 2 = required deposit amount)

For accounts in which the usage can’t be estimated (insufficient data, change in use at service location, etc.) the following minimum deposit amounts shall apply:

Short-Term

Short Term Deposit shall apply to customers wishing to connect utility service for a short time frame (<30 days). For accounts with more than one utility service provided, the amounts below shall be added for each applicable utility.
